School On The Roof of The World
Kunsal School is a tiny primary school in Demul, one of the highest and remotest villages in Spiti Valley. This Trans Himalayan village is at over 14,000 feet above sea level. The air is thin, the landscape is stunning, and temperatures dip to minus 40 degrees Celsius. Life is brutally hard, but the people are the warmest, kindest, most hospitable and generous souls that I've ever known. And the kids are bright, beautiful and filled with potential.
